I’m a passionate personal finance educator who has spent the past decade dedicated to learning everything there is to know about saving, investing and building wealth.
Raised in a single parent household, I started learning about personal finance at a young age. Anything I wanted – a new toy, car, etc. – I had to work for. In college, I had to take out student loans and worked during the school year and every summer.
When I graduated, I was lucky enough to land a job at a consulting firm and arrived in an empty Washington D.C. apartment with $30K in student loan debt. My reality forced me to start building good habits or face the consequences.
Five years later, I had $100K saved and invested. Friends and family started coming to me for financial advice. I realized I had a lot of knowledge and insight to share, so I started Stepwise to help equip people with tools to become financially successful.
Today, I work in private equity and specialize in operational improvement at fast-growing companies. My happy place is in the mountains with my wife and kids, whether on a board, bike or my own two feet.
